The Shores @ The Ocean
Great meeting today with the developers of The Shores @ The Ocean, Gordon and Patricia McMahon. The Shores isn’t a typical fractional resort, but a collection of separate luxury homes located in stunning areas of the Lincoln City, Oregon area of the Oregon Coast. Each home is built as a fractional product, with from seven to eleven owners per home.
Gordon and Patricia McMahon have developed many fractional homes, beginning in the Lake Tahoe area in the 1980s and continuing with The Shores @ The Ocean collection in 2001.
We toured the NW Jetty home, located directly on the beach complete with absolutely stunning view, luxury furnishings, storage lockers for each owner, professional management and even a Volvo convertible in the garage (for owner use).
The Shores @ The Ocean is an excellent example of what we feel is the growing demand, acceptance and practicality of fractional ownership products. They point out that “why buy 100% of a vacation home when studies show most people only spend an average of seven weeks per year at a second home?
